Here in America, we’re used to fleet rental choices such as the Ford Taurus and Chevrolet Malibu, and if we’re lucky enough, the occasional Hertz Mustang GT. Things are a little different in Germany. While everyday Volkswagens are common fleet cars, so are Mercedes-Benz and BMWs, which is why having the option to rent a Porsche Panamera starting October 1st really isn’t that shocking.
Starting next month, normally aspirated Panamera S and 4S sedans will be available at airport and major city Avis locations for a surprisingly low 189 euros during weekdays. If you’re planning on cruising the Autobahn in a Porsche, we highly recommend renting Monday through Thursday, as weekend rates shoot to a bank draining €567 per day.
We haven’t seen a contract yet, so we cannot confirm that they’ll let you take a spin on the publicly accessible Nürburgring Nordschleife track, but as long as you don’t crash it, nobody needs to know.
