As you already know, Honda is planning on releasing its updated CR-Z sometime this year as a 2011 model. As we approach this date, more and more spy photos and videos are surfacing. The photos below are still shots from a recent video leaked on the web.
This time around, the CR-Z will not only focus on being a being a lightweight, nimble, and affordable sporty coupe, but also cram in some cutting edge eco tech. The 2011 CR-Z will push out a modest 126 horsepower, but will please owners by sipping fuel at a snails pace, delivering 50 mpg thanks to its hybrid powertrain.
As long as Honda remembers its sporty roots, expect the CR-Z to be a nimble handler just like the previous CR-Z. Lately Honda has moved away from sporty and has reestablished itself as a fuel-mising car company, so we can only hope they incorporate both aspects in the upcoming CR-Z.
Honda plans to officially introduce the car in Japan sometime next month. Until the official photos are released, enjoy the still shots from the latest video below.
